Teddy B

Postby dynastyjukay » Thu Mar 15, 2018 7:31 am

How deep of a league do you have to be in for Teddy to have value? He can still be a decent QB in fantasy (Andy Dalton comp?), but how long must we wait. He is like 25, but if you have held him, you held him through the past 2 seasons, and he likely doesn't start for the Jets. What are your thoughts, concerns #knee, on Teddy Bridgewater?
QB: Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Ryan Tannehill
RB: Jordan Howard, Mark Ingram, Jay Ajayi, D'Onta Foreman
WR: Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jarvis Landry, Robert Woods
TE: Travis Kelce, OJ Howard

In 2QB leagues, he should still be owned (just like several other backup QBs should be owned), but with very little expectations. Unless McCown gets hurt or struggles really badly, I don't see Teddy starting many games next year. I know there are a lot of Vikings fans who like him, but I just don't think he's a very good QB, even before the injury.

Teddy's price is incredibly low for his ceiling. I don't think he was a great QB when he started, but I think he showed potential for growth.

I'm buying him everywhere I can because a) his price is so low, and b) coming back from that injury proved to me that he has at least the mental toughness to start in the NFL.

16 team superflex

I have been holding throughout his two year recovery time. He is as good as any stash and now he gets a clean slate in NY. Sure, he is “behind” McCown, but McCown has zero future value in real life or fantasy. At some point we will see Teddy because he at least has potential future value.

Now I’m not saying he will come in and light up the world, but he was a solid QB and better than a lot of starting QBs.
