What would you pay for Drew Brees in a Superflex?

Postby Phaded » Wed Feb 21, 2018 10:41 am

Curious what people would be willing to pay for him value-wise..
I have him in my Superflex; but I also have ARod & Winston - along with the 1.09 (which I am starting to think BPA will be a QB).

So - I want to cash out on him and get something.. what would you pay to get him on your team?
Just trying to get some opinions because I've been sending offers; but just declines and no counters.

Its difficult to say. Brees could have awhile longer as a top five QB, but he's also a sneaky 39. He's still playing at an elite level, but Peyton's steep decline is still fresh in a lot of minds.

I'd sell him for a late 1st, but people probably won't be buying.

Brees is a tough evaluation because he's still capable of a Top 10-Top 12 season but for how long? Wonder if the Saints will still be a solid all-around team in 2018.

I think if you're a team that is competing but doesn't have a great QB option, do you just say effe it and go in on Brees and try to run the table? To me that would make the most sense.

I probably wouldn't be willing to pay anything more than a late 1st or early second if I had one, if you received either you'd still have a shot at one of Rosen/Darnold/Mayfield and Jackson/Allen would probably both be there too. Or if you break it down to Mayfield for Brees, at that point do you ask for more? Ugh

Yeah - I feel like it will be hard for me to move him.
I've had no luck and I'm not exactly aiming high I feel like.
For example, the lowest I have gone is offering him straight up to a guy who only has 1 QB for Will Fuller.

I'd like to think that if I was a contender in a SF I'd probably give up a 2nd and a upside backup like a Lynch, McCarron or Cardale Jones. Alas I am not currently a contender in any of my Superflexes yet.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

I'm not sure WHY you would want to move him. Ideally, you have three good QBs in an SF league. I'd be keeping Brees, especially since there seems to be no market for him.

In-season, you might be able to move if another guy has some injuries. Otherwise, I think that you just ride it out with him. If you do take a QB at 1.09, then you can be patient for him to become an impact player.

Yeah - at this point there really is not a market for him, you are right.

I will probably hold through the offseason at this point and if I move him, will probably be to a needy team in-season.
