So a self confessed die hard Penn state fan bloggersays Allen Robinson is the 3rd wr in this draft and I'm supposed wet myself in delight at his "insight" that he's big and relatively fast? :wtf:

I thought the same.

However I do really like Robinson, I think he's legit.

I'm going to make like an NFL GM during the Pre-Draft Lying Season and say that I'm not that impressed by Robinson and that I have several WRs ranked ahead of him.

I'm not sold on Robinson.

But I am.

Or not.

im a die hard penn state fan too but pride myself in not elevating talent just cause they went to the college team I prefer or play for my pro team. he isn't the 3rd best wr in my eyes. hes well behind Watkins and evans easily. hes behind odell beckham and probably marquise lee just due to name recognition with him. I think hes in that 6-10 range at wr along with guys like Benjamin and Jordan matthews

Watkins Evans Robinson Matthews Moncrief are my top 5 targets at WR.

Just think you guys discount that he is one of a few who made his quarterback look better than maybe he was. McGloin got his chance in the NFL in no small part to Robinson. Hackenbergs freshman season was certainly helped by him. Those receivers who get those jump ball catches and can create more room for or qbs to throw to them are who I want.

If you like your big bodied WRs, I can see this. Basically you are taking OBJ and Cooks out of the equation. Therefore it is preference on who is left. I may prefer Robinson due to his potential ceiling over Matthews.

His qb made it to the NFL, so he was better than most college qbs.

To each their own, I do think it's a bit of a crapshoot after Evans but those aren't the 3 guys I'd be looking at.

Post NFL draft will determine which three rookies belong in the top 5 with Watkins and Evans. Robinson is cetainly in the mix, along with Lee, Matthews, Beckham, Cooks. I wouldn't be surprise to see a RB make it there.

Here's my rankings:

Tier 1: Sammy, Evans
Tier 2: Beckham, Cooks, Lee
Tier 3: Robinson, Matthews, Adams
Tier 4: Moncrief, Benjamin, Landry
Tier 5: Richardson, Lattimer, Bryant, Ellington, Huff, Coleman, Abbrederis

I'd probably put a RB in front of Tier 3 if I had a favorite so I'd pick Robinson somewhere in the 7-9 range.

QB's: ARod, Rivers, Sanchez, Manziel, Mallett, Mettenberger
RB's: Charles, Lacy, Ellington, Oliver, Davis, Starks, CMike
WR's: Julio, Maclin, Sanders, Watkins, Crabtree, Patterson, Quick

I agree with most of your rankings there Jimmy.

I have it as

Tier 1 - Sammy
Tier 2 - Lee,Robinson,ObJ
Tier 3 - Evans,Mathews,Cooks
Tier 4 - Moncrief,Adams,Landry,
Tier 5 - Benjamin, Richardson

I think I'd consider a rb around mid tier 3 to tier 4 if I needed one. I'd have Carey, Bishop,Mason, in my overall 3rd tier, while Hyde, then Seastruck fall into my 4th overall tier along with a couple TEs in that 4th to 5th tier range.
