Colt Lyerla

Postby duckman92 » Wed Mar 12, 2014 3:34 pm

Haven't noticed a thread on him but he had a hell of a combine and is looked good on his pro day. Bias as a duck fan but at a time this guy was the top TE of the class. Any chance he learned his lesson? Not saying he won't get drafted before the 5th or 6th, just thinking he'll get a shot.

Sure there is a chance but post Hernandez teams are going to be very cautious with guys with a history. I dont know his full story but he is impressive on the field. Someone willl get him with a mid to low round selection and he'll have to prove his worth. Definitely has good upside if he can keep his nose clean.

Kids is a head case with a very bad coke problem, stemming for Highschool. I doubt he get's drafted but will get picked up as a UDFA ala Da'Rick Rodgers. Worth it as a what the hell 3rd rounder, if you want to take a chance. He was talked about as one of the top TE's prior to be kicked out of school, and the kids has ability.
