His draft stock is in a free fall at the moment. I'm happy there is at least one more year to observe this kid before having to make a decision.
He is definitely NOT eligible. If he keeps his head on straight and works hard, he'll practice and stay in shape with Oklahoma all season and then decide what to do at the end of the season. I think he comes out regardless, and he needs to hope he's changed enough and worked hard enough to get these Oklahoma coaches gushing to scouts. Because the game footage you've got is probably all you're gonna get.

There's no way DGB is lasting to the second round. I'd be shocked if he makes it past 1.06. Gordon, Gurley, Cooper, Parker, White in some order and then there's a pretty big dropoff IMO. That's the perfect spot for DGB.

Kiper just mocked him to KC in 1st Rd. Bottom line for me, is if he gets drafted in 1st rd, he'll be in consideration for 1.1 plain n simple with his upside.

KC would be the death-knell for any early production. Not until Alex Smith leaves will any WR in KC be relevant. I'd hate for him to land there..

I've heard this sentiment in other places, but who did Smith have at WR worth a dang? D. Bowe? He was their best option and I think he's weak. DGB is their top option right away.

Btw, another draft analyst and former scout Daniel Jeremiah did his first mock and has him going to KC as well.

Wouldn't touch him if he goes to KC. Smith can't throw more than 5-10 yards downfield. It would be a waste of talent for him to land in KC.

You guys actually think Smith will be in a Chiefs uniform that much longer? 2-3 years MAX. Which is usually when a WR comes around. Cooper is mocked going to NYJ. Did you see Geno play ? But Cooper is the #1 WR? Temper expectations guys.

Naw, I feel like I'm fairly objective when looking long-term. I mean, I don't take the current situation too seriously for any incoming rookie. But we all know how the market is. If DGB went to KC, his value would drop and drop and drop until Alex Smith actually DID leave. Not saying that it would make selecting DGB a bad idea. But you'd have to be stubborn enough to hold him for a while. A better idea might be to let him fall some and then buy him in a year or two at a lower price. More risky, but can sometimes be a much better move.

*The reason I said that I'd hate for him to land there is because the only league in which I'm likely to have him in his rookie year is a devy league... Where I already have him. And the rosters aren't all that big, so it'll be tough to hold him for three years waiting on Alex Smith to give up the ghost.

I'm not annointing him the next AJ Green by any means, but he has been compared ALOT to him. You think Dalton is that much better than Smith? Smith may not be a stud QB, but I don't exactly see him have the weapons to throw to.I know the dude doesn;t like to throw bombs, but I'm still ok holding on to a player being compared to Green to develop. Bowe is a shell of himself and I'm pretty sure the rest of their WR's are on my WW. Chicken or the egg argument.
