Michael Dyer
Michael Dyer
Just saw a blurb over at Rotoworld saying that Dyer may be joining Louisville. They could go undefeated with Dyer and Bridgewater. It would make a ton of sense from both sides. It would thrust Dyer back into the national limelight being on the field with Bridgewater and it would help recruitment efforts for Charlie Strong and company.

Re: Michael Dyer
As a U of L fan, I am glad to say that he is officially a member of the Louisville Cardinals. We will undoubtedly go undefeated in the regular season and will most likely finish as #3 with another BCS appearance. Teddy will be gone but Dyer will most likely stay for his senior season in the ACC.

Re: Michael Dyer
This, he has wasted enough time already. With the uptempo offence and cupcake schedule they are facing this year he should put up some really big numbers. Barring injury I don't see how he returns for another season.Jimmy Graham Cracker wrote:Haha, I really doubt it.The_Future wrote: Dyer will most likely stay for his senior season in the ACC.
Re: Michael Dyer
Yeah, I don't see Dyer not coming out for the 2014 NFL draft unless perhaps he suffers a season-ending injury early. It's not a great looking RB class in 2014 (most of the guys people are hyped about are actually not eligible until 2015), so he could easily be a 2nd-round pick.

Re: Michael Dyer
While he is/was an all world talent, he hasn't played a single snap of football in over 20 months... Louisville's offensive line is unproven and lacks talent so there is a chance he does't meet expectations this year...Jimmy Graham Cracker wrote:Haha, I really doubt it.The_Future wrote: Dyer will most likely stay for his senior season in the ACC.

Re: Michael Dyer
Eh, I don't care how long it's been for him, the talent will win out. Look how little Bryce Brown played in college, and what he did to two NFL defenses. He'll be in shape, and he'll trample most of the defenses he'll play. The biggest question about Dyer, assuming he does have his head on straight, is whether he can play in passing situations in the NFL. That's going to be huge for his fantasy value and his ability to be a 3-down RB.The_Future wrote:While he is/was an all world talent, he hasn't played a single snap of football in over 20 months... Re: Michael Dyer
It was a bit of a reach, but I just took him at 6 (1 round, 14 teams, every player available) after taking Seastrunk at 5. To me Dyer is the most talented RB in college football not named Yeldon or Gurley, and they were gone. His game should easily translate to the NFL.Detroitcity wrote:Where would you guys take Dyer in a devy draft now?

Re: Michael Dyer
I sort of agree as I like him more than gio bernard ... taken 37th I think this year but he has been very sketchy off the field and that has caused better talents than dyer to drop deep into the draft . Dyer isn't being used much. Any opinions regarding his draft status next year?

Re: Michael Dyer
Dyer only carried the ball one time last game, but there's more to that story than the staff just opting not to use him:
If he declares after this season, his spotty background and modest 2013 production will most likely keep him out of the top 75 picks. However, I think he'll be pretty impressive in his workouts and I think that will help him repair his draft stock ala Christine Michael and Knile Davis this past year. I look for him to go 3rd-5th round and I think he can be a nice value and potentially a 1000+ yard NFL rusher.
Louisville is a true running back by committee situation. Even though I think Dyer is clearly the best talent of their three-headed monster for NFL purposes, the other two guys are excelling at the college level. With that being the case, the coaches have a lot less incentive to feed Dyer the ball.On the sideline, Brown was yelling at coaches. Michael Dyer, due up next at running back, gave up his spot in the rotation. He said Brown was running well, let him have the ball. Later, Perry would give up his turn, as well.

Before you bump a thread, you should make sure you still remember what point you were actually making originally.
You said he'd go back to school. That still probably isn't happening.
