Definitely a little suprised, but even if he goes in the 4 th I'm still high on him. I guess I will have to move gio in front of him again.

This draft just messed up my entire ranking for RB and WR.

It made me more comfortable at 1.05 though.

I am more comfortable as there are four solid RB's in solid situatinos, but I don't love Ball or Bell, and I liked Franklin a lot and he still doesn't have a home. That is a concern for me, and I won't spend a top 5 pick on him.

I'm holding judgment until I find where his home his. What round he is drafted in is no concern of mine. I consider the 4 th round to be the third round this year for RBs.

My personal rule is that the 4th round is acceptable if it is due to injury concerns (Lattimore) but for a healthy RB, 4th round is bad.

We'll see, if he goes to a great landing spot, I might consider him late first. But definitely out of top 5 no matter what.

In a normal draft, I might agree with you. This year is a bit odd with no RB being selected in the first round and having a bunch of OL there instead.

It will depend on where he still lands. I think most of the time RBs picked in the 4th may not be going to RB needy teams which may skew the suckiness factor of those RBs. I'd have to do some research on that.

But how many teams out there that still need a RB?

I see where I can see better value from Franklin:

Atlanta: to replace Steven Jackson in a couple of years, though they could hypothetically still wait.
Arizona
St Louis(though might become crowded with richardson/pead
Indy
JAX
Jets

Sooooo he lands in GB. Which is a fantastic spot, but also they drafted Lacy. RBBC right off the hop?

Ugh, avoiding this couple if at all possible. Green Bay barely runs as is, now they have 2 rookies to split carries. No thank you...

12 team PPR with 14 Keepers/year
2023 Draft Picks: 1.04, 1.05, 1.11, 3.04, 3.07, 5.04
QB: L.Jackson, J. Burrow, G. Minshew, J. Winston
RB: J.Mixon, ETN, Jav.Williams, J.Conner, Z.Moss, JK Dobbins (IR), N.Chubb (IR)

Yeah, I feel like it ruins the value of Lacy as well as Franklin.

Lacy might still be worthy of a top 5 pick with the hope that he takes the job and runs with it. But I am thinking #4 or #5, instead of #1 or #2.

I thought he was a COP back in the NFL prior to the draft and him going in the 4th only reinforced that.

Interesting thread. Many relevant talking points. Wondering how this relates to this years class. Who is 2014's slow and sluggish Lacy (Carey?) and who is this year's Franklin?
