No threads on him yet, eh?

I haven't watched any tape on him (I'll be getting to that as soon as I can) but I'm hearing his name more and more. He's got decent size, but I do wonder about competition level. For those who have checked in on him, is he worth investigation?

Yes hes worth looking at. Good size, great fighting for the ball in the air, very very new to the wr position at a smaller school so he currently strikes me as a guy who has tons of currently unrealized potential.

TCU has a pretty good defense and They had no answer for Sutton.

BUMP

4/162/3 to start the 2016 season!

He didn't exactly face the LOB, but an 88 yard TD, 46 yard TD, and just overall domination.

Better players to target in next year's 1st round imo but he is big. I like James Washington a bit more

He is easily better than Washington. Washington may be the most overrated WR in this upcoming class.

6/112/1- another solid outing for Sutton against a power-5 good team. Really liking this kid so far.

Tons to love about this guy. He played tight end and safety in high school and also plays basketball (he even filled in last year on SMUs basketball team last year when they needed guys) so he seems to really understand the game and uses his size intelligently, knows how to box out and is a solid if fundamentally average blocker. Excellent physicality, gets totally mugged by defenders on almost every play but can still adjust and make the catch. Through uneven QB play, seems to almost always get himself in a position to make a play on the ball. People will always question him due to the level of competition and his route running is sub par, but hes a freakin baller.

SMU got wrecked, but Sutton went for over 100 yards yet again. Great start to the season so far.

Sutton has a 54.2% Dominator Rating so far in 2016. Ridiculous!
Had a 40.1% Rating for all of 2015

Not sure if anyone else watched the game last weekend, but Sutton had two big catches, one of them a TD, called back due to offensive penalties. So it looked like a pedestrian game, but Sutton looked good all the same.

I'm very high on him. I traded up in our devy draft this summer to grab him and I'm loving what I see watching him so far.

I cant wait to see him in a real offense with a decent QB. He is putting up numbers in a crap offense with a terrible QB throwing him the ball

Thanks for the additional information. Wasn't seem in the box score obvioulsy! He seems to be flying under the radar both nationally and with draft niks but the talent is there.
