Pants Optional --- kidding please wear your pants in here.

Here's a relatively fresh take on Davis (6/1):

Interesting note from the article: Sounds like he's up to 215 lbs.

How is the community looking at Davis headed into 2016?

Precise route runner with solid hands. I have heard he is fast, but watching the tape vs Michigan State tape I didnt see much separation vertically. The DB was in his hip pocket on pretty much all of his GO routes. Not all that great at battling DBs for those 50/50 balls either. He definitely needs to improve on that and hopefully the weight increase will increase his strength and help him in that area.

Ultimately I am fan. I think he will win more so with his route running more than anything. He is crisp in and out of his breaks and very fluid. Not much wasted motion in his routes and he sets DBs up nicely. Should be a first round pick in the draft and high pick in rookie drafts.

I really like Davis, he may end up being the best WR in the '17 class.

I owe most of the other WR a longer look yet, but I agree with you on both counts.

I'm very excited to have grabbed Davis in a DEVY league after the many RBs and JuJu were already selected. I'll be keeping tabs on his value throughout this last year at WMU.

2 TDs in 3 straight games. Moved into the FBS top 10 (all time) for receiving yardage.
Release, separation, RAC, catch point...
Continues to check all the boxes.

2017 WR1?

I like him quite a bit, but he is my WR2 right now behind Mike Williams.

I wrote about him recently. He struggles with gaining separation on his GO routes when playing the higher level competition. He also isnt the best at going up for the 50/50 balls, especially for a guy his size.

With that said, the dude is one of the best route runners I have seen in college football. The guy can beat anyone with it

If Davis doesn't win the Biletnikoff it will be a fraud :wall:

I'm so jacked about this kid. He's my only devy pick I've ever made (used a 2nd on him this June). I've been following his status at devydiscussion.com.

And not because they both wear #84 and went to small schools in Michigan, but is Antonio Brown a fair comparison?

I wouldn't think they compare at all. I'd say Julio or AJG is more accurately the right comp

I think he's more of a ARob-Dez caliber athlete. WR1 in this class in my book based strictly on film. Looking forward to his combine results and seeing where he gets drafted.

I have picks 2 and 3 in one league and Im seriously thinking going Corey Davis Mike Williams with the picks. Is it crazy to pass on Dalvin Cook?

I don't think that is crazy, but I'd wait to make up my mind until after the NFL draft (if possible). Cook to Indy or GB could be fantasy football manna.

I see Mike Williams as similar in play style to Alshon. If that comp checks out at the combine and he lands in a good/getting better offense then I think he's worth a top 3 rookie pick, personally.

I have the 1.04 pick in two separate leagues, so assuming that Fournette, Cook, and Mike Williams are the first three picks, Corey Davis is absolutely in play for me.

But in response to Cherokee, I honestly don't see how anyone could pass on Cook.
