Jordan Westerkamp

Didn't see a thread and haven't seen his name on any devy rankings on DLF, so I'll gladly start a topic on this guy.

Massive fan of his game, and I'm surprised there's not much more noise around his name in the dynasty community so far from what I've seen.

-Good routes and even better hands on a 6'0 200lb frame
-Very good body control, can turn and adjust to difficult and wild throws quickly thanks in part to a (reportedly) 40 inch vertical
-Reliable pass catcher who seems to excel at finding and attacking soft spots in coverage
-Comfortable on the outside but can also work the slot and middle of the field and seems able to take a hit
-Has a knack for securing insanely difficult circus catches (his behind the back catch against Florida Atlantic in 2014 was named ESPN's CFB Play of the Year)
-Has improved his production each season so far, despite average at best QB play in Tommy Armstrong with a 65/918/7 line last year. His receptions, yards and TD's have all improved every season from 2013 to 2015
-Ranked by PFF as the highest graded returning WR in college football for 2016

If he improves on his numbers from last season and has a strong senior season, he should end up getting drafted in the round 3-5 range, and could project into a productive WR2 or slot guy (more likely the latter). Reminds me of a bigger Danny Amendola, but I've read even some Chris Collinsworth and Steve Largent comps online.

Anyone else high on him?

Thanks for putting him on the radar! His highlight reel is off the hook for sure, really fun to watch. I think you're right (just from watching that) that he's a future slot man in the NFL, but could be a really great one because he looks so fast, reliable hands, and plays pretty strong.

I have the devy 12 pick (last pick) in my league and still am not sure if I'd spend it on him or not. But it's worth considering. Like the way he plays, and never heard of him before. Thanks!
