Re: 2018 draft discussion
I'll flip a 3rd next year for an OTC pick if my target remains on board.
Re: 2018 draft discussion
I'm interested in acquiring one or possibly two 3rd rounders...
Re: 2018 draft discussion
Might be willing to move down/out from 3.02 if my guy goes at 3.01.

Just for fun, I was looking back at some previous drafts. Look at the first round of the 2009 draft from this league... that is a whole lot of SUCK.
Knowshon Moreno
Chris Wells
Michael Crabtree
Donald Brown
Shonn Greene
LeSean McCoy
Jeremy Maclin
Percy Harvin
Hakeem Nicks
Darius Heyward-Bey
Rashad Jennings
Matthew Stafford
Mark Sanchez
Brian Robiskie
James Davis
Kenny Britt

If it makes you feel better, I had back-to-back picks (13 & 14), and I took Mark Sanchez and Brian Robiskie. But the reality is, there were only about 5 players taken in that whole draft who were worth a $hit. So it didn't matter who you picked... odds are he sucked. Arian freaking Foster was pick 3.15!!!

It really is funny going back over old drafts, it makes me think we really overvalue these draft picks sometimes. Also shows the value of hitting on a stud and benefiting from that contract for years.
Moreno was alright eventually, but never lived up to the hype
Re: 2018 draft discussion
I may regret that pick but I badly need RB help and what the hell, its the 3rd round. Wilkins has his flaws, but opportunity knocks in a very unsettled backfield in Indy. He's got size, vision, agility, decent speed, solid hands. He profiles as the closest thing the Colts have to a "workhorse" back. Indy will probably draft a stud RB next year and make that pick a complete waste but...

Both 3.7 and 3.8 are available.
Re: 2018 draft discussion
Thanks Tom for not taking John Kelly.... I was kindof nervous after I acquired 3.06.
Kelly is stuck behind Gurley, but he's really good (no idea how he fell to the 6th round)... but McVay is creative so I'm hoping he finds a way to get Kelly some touches. And if Gurley misses time... he'll be gold.
I've tripled-down on RBs in this draft... hopefully it pans out.

Not making my picks tonight. Will sleep on it and see if any offers come in overnight.

I love Kelly as a prospect, I considered taking him in round 2, shocked that he fell this far, great pickTrueDawg wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:33 pm Thanks Tom for not taking John Kelly.... I was kindof nervous after I acquired 3.06.

Re: 2018 draft discussion
That's what they said about David Johnson and Alvin Kamara. I don't love Wilkins' talent... but I don't love any of the other Colts RBs either. That pick was about opportunity. I picked Wilkins over Kelly cuz I thought there was a greater chance Kelly would still be on the board later.
