2017 Season Discussion

Re: 2017 Season Discussion
My team will be competitive, but lots of TBDs as to whether I'll be a legit contender in '17. When I blew everything up last year, and took Henry 1.02, it was with the full expectation of sucking in '16, improving in '17, then contending in '18. My team far exceeded expectations last year, so maybe I'm a year ahead of schedule...but not sure...
Will Winston's progression continue? I don't expect him to be top tier (Rodgers, Brees, etc.) this year, but will he establish himself as my clear #1, or am I still juggling QBs based on matchups?
Howard and Crowell. Talented young backs, on bad teams. How much will I get from them? 20PPG? 25PPG? 30+PPG? How much of the load will Henry get this year? Enough to be a regular/flex starter or is he just a vulture that I throw in as a last resort on bye weeks?
Evans is a stud, and based on last year's production, I've got great WR depth, but there's definitely questions to be answered there.
I like Howard long-term, but probably need Olsen to be a rock for me this year, as I don't have much confidence in Ebron beyond filling the spot week 11.
If I'm not good defensively, it's not for a lack of trying. I have a kicker on my roster...
Some of those questions definitely impacted my offseason approach.

As a huge Buckeyes' fan...
I thought Samuel was overrated, and the Panthers, somewhat curiously, reached for him. Add to that they'd already taken McCaffrey, and while I don't see any reason they can't be effective together, I'm not convinced the Panthers are the best team or place for that to happen.

I value all these opinions as I play in multiple leagues, I think the Panthers are changing there game plan, I base many of my draft choices off simple athleticism . Samuel fit's that to a tee...Does it work out? Got me but as far as being an elite athlete he punches every category that is a measurable in the upper 95% percentile range.Xulu Bak wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2017 3:04 pm As a huge Buckeyes' fan...

Yeah your roster is stacked, I think Olsen is the difference maker.
Jim's rebuilding, he has stamped his place in this league.
Dung is simply Dung, congrats on your 30K back up QB. Impressive

20 minutes into the season and it looks like I've already left a lot of points on the bench.
I guess some things never change.
EDIT: I'll take 0-1 with OBJ and DJax and maybe even Shady, but boy I hope Cooks develops some chemistry with Brady or I might as well call it a season now.

Looks like Rjo is this week's victim of the Scrub Goalline Warrior.
Re: 2017 Season Discussion
Eh? Gillislee is hardly a scrub. Analytically, he's a stud, but had limited opportunity in Buffalo because of Shady.Multiple Scorgasms wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2017 8:09 pm Looks like Rjo is this week's victim of the Scrub Goalline Warrior.

That's okay....Kizer is going to throw 3 TDs and run another one in.Multiple Scorgasms wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2017 8:09 pm Looks like Rjo is this week's victim of the Scrub Goalline Warrior.
But seriously...with Luck and Ajayi out, does it really matter?

50 carries, 20 yards, 3 TD. He Bettised Rjo to death.

Kareem F'N Hunt!
Re: 2017 Season Discussion
Was it just me or did Hunt look slow and awkward running after he caught the ball on that TD?Multiple Scorgasms wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2017 8:36 pm 50 carries, 20 yards, 3 TD. He Bettised Rjo to death.

I would love to NE lose this game. Their D looks pretty vulnerable tonight...and it's not like KC has the best O in the league.
