The PS sqaud was a turnstile for player's , this will be the most boring year ever regarding player movement.

I think it's going to be the opposite...guys that might normally be on a roster or PS are going to be FAs instead.

I don't see how, no place to put them...but I'm cool to see what happens.

I agree with this. If anything there will be more movement.

We expanded the actual roster. There's an extra space to stash players now. Practice squad was simply a loophole machine.

I just don't see the problem here. There is 10 bench spots at everyone's disposal. Honestly, if somebody can't strategize how to use 10 bench spots, then they don't belong in this type of a league. If somebody wants to use that space on an extra D or Kicker, its on them. If they want to use those spots for more veterans to make a run this year, that's on them. If they want to keep more younger players, and play for the future, its on them.

The more we expand the roster, the less movement that takes place and the easier this league gets. To me, that's much less fun.

Look...the practice squad was barely a step up from free agency. While PS players were technically "on" your roster, you couldn't do anything with them without promoting them to the active roster. And since PS players are subject to bidding by other teams (just like free agency), it was not really an effective place to "stash" young players. Cuz the second they show anything on the field, some other owner is bidding on them. So it was essentially a place to carry players that nobody wants.

To me, there's very little difference between promoting a player from PS and simply signing a FA (other than the loopholes created by the PS). Either way, you have to have an available active roster spot, and we've actually EXPANDED the roster.

The easier the league gets ... for GOOD owners.

Any good owner would want more roster spots. The others want kickers, defenses and waiver wires to increase the variance (luck).

Or maybe "pussies" that are too scared to cut the wrong guy...

Of course. It's a lot easier to cut the wrong guy when actually have quality 1 thru 19 and don't rely on waivers and random no-name 5th stringers.

Just for clarification, players listed on the pup are not eligible for the IR, correct?

To my knowledge you can't put players on pup on it...there probably 500 players on pup

The rule is pretty clear...

If a player is officially suspended, placed on IR or retires from the NFL, you can put him in one of the three IR slots.
