For 2019:
"Players that were on the official NFL IR list the previous year are ineligible." (RE: contract renegs)
This seems really unnecessary. Players coming off injuries in the NFL are often prime candidates to re-do their deals almost because of that fact. I don't see any argument for it at all tbh.

2019 Rule Change Suggestions

Re: 2019 Rule Change Suggestions
I suggest we cap UDFA contracts at 3 years (like the NFL does). There's a mad dash to sign UDFAs right after the draft (before the preseason starts and we start getting some tape of these guys on the field), but they shouldn't be eligible for 5 year deals at the league minimum salary (or close to it).

Re: 2019 Rule Change Suggestions
I'd like to discuss adding another starting slot. I love the removal of PK/DEF but 7 players doesn't feel like enough a lot of the time, even with big scores due to PPR. It would also reward the more skilled owners, and it seems like 8 starters is a reasonable ratio with 19 roster players.
We could also discuss super-flex, which seems to be popular, although I'm totally unsure about that.

Completely agree with this, 7 is tough to determine what studs you are going to use, 8 seems much better.Multiple Scorgasms wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 3:29 pm I'd like to discuss adding another starting slot. Re: 2019 Rule Change Suggestions
Summary of rule changes we need to vote on:
If we decide to go to 8 starting players then we need to decide whether to just add another FLEX or add another position player like RB, WR, TE, etc.
- Change the rule for contract renegotiations to allow players ending the prior year on the IR list to be renegotiated.
- Change the contract max for Undrafted Free Agents to 3 years
- Change the starting lineups to 8 players

I’d be for all three changes.

All good with those. Flex for the extra starter.

Yes... how the NFL does it and it promotes player movement and ensures teams are paying market value
- Change the contract max for Undrafted Free Agents to 3 years
Yes... add a flex (RB, WR, TE)
- Change the starting lineups to 8 players
