Robert Quinn

Postby rangerdave » Tue Sep 06, 2011 5:40 pm

What is his value for this year? I don't need him as a starter, but he figures into my last minute active and practice squad moves. My options are too numerous to list. I'm just looking for a honest appraisal of Quinn's talent.

He's got some huge upside. Rookie DL players typically take time to develop, so his value this year is just a rookie DE that has huge upside. Rookie DE's have to get better with their hands and learn additional moves before they beat the superior NFL lineman. DE's typically flash some potential in their first year, but they aren't consistent enough to put in a starting lineup. I have heard that he is doing well in practice. He's probably worth about the pick he was drafted for this year.... maybe slightly more.

well, he is starting, but most dl need at least a yr or 2 to become ff relavent, he did miss a whole season also, but i think if ur weak at de, he can spot start for u, i wouldnt expect to much from him though.

i just traded a 2012 6th rd for quinn and a 2012 8th rd pick in my dynasty

Quinn hasn't the starter to my knowledge. but neither has his competition. Quinn is still in competition for the starting job.

Thanks for the input. I ended up placing Quinn on my PS for the year. He can't be activated until next season. Hopefully, he is ready to start by then.
