Austin for Tuck, Poluzny and Collie

Postby Madster » Tue Jun 14, 2011 12:45 pm

Hi guys,

I am negotiating a bit with an owner in my PPR league, who thinks I am crazy for making this offer:

I give:
Miles Austin

I get:
Tuck
Poluzny
Collie

In our league the top LBs score about the same as the top WRs (DEs 2/3), but I still feel that WRs are much harder to come by, in part because the good ones go a lot earlier in the rookie drafts.

It is a 12 team league with 53 roster + 8 taxi + IR.

Is this a totally crazy offer?

It is a bit much. Last season, Ironically, I traded Tuck and Poz for Michael Turner - I had a need for a #1 RB and a bunch of good IDP players. However, if the other owner would have wanted me to toss in another starting RB, then I'd have walked.

I'd be happy to get, or give, two stud IDPs for one stud Offensive player, depending on team need.

I think you need to take one of those players out of the deal, or add something from your side.

I am not crazy about trading Austin, since it will leave me quite vulnerable at WR and Collie, with his concussions, is to some extent a wildcard.

But, I just wanted to get some perspective of things :-)

While this is true, you are getting the 2 stud IDPs that meineymoe was discussing, PLUS the wild card Collie. As we all are aware, that trade could HEAVILY favor you if he returns to form.

I think I'm Collie's biggest fan on this board post concussions. That offer is a landslide in your favor to me. If I was the other guy, I wouldn't even think about that, but possibly the other guy is one of the people that very down on Collie. I'm assuming this is PPR.

Push accept ASAP -

Tuck #1 - DL
Paul P - easily top 10, if not top 5 LB
and Collie is top 20 WR

Not losing much giving up Austin who is top 10 WR - and with Dez and Witten it may be closer than I might think

He can't push accept... he's the one making the offer.... the consensus here seems to be that he is asking too much....
