Easy to find IDPs

I was just wonderng if it is relatively easy to find solid IDPs on the waiver wire every year

That all depends on the league scoring, starting requirements, and roster size of the league.

I think more than anything it depends on how IDP savvy the other owners in your league are.

But yes, there are always IDP waiver wire gems.

i.e Jamar Chaney, Paris Lennon from 2010....safe bet there will always be waiver wire guys that out produce starters

Typically the WW gems in IDP are guys standing in for players that got injured.

a player on WW likelyhood to be startable:
DE - not likely
LB - there is always a player or two
DB - count on several

Before you run off thinking you can build your defense from the WW reread the statement above! But generally yes, it is fairly easy to find solid IDP players on the waiver wire in a good many leagues. Much easier than finding offense. For my team I like to have good IDP starters and retain more offensive depth. Then I pay close attention to who is on the WW for IDPs with potential.

BTW, Lenon and TJ Ward were waiver wire pick ups for me early last season. And as Mr. Rourke said DLs are harder to score off the WW. Not impossible but not as frequent.

Bishop (LB), Chaney (LB), Mincey (DL), Idonije (DL), Huff (DB), Godfrey (DB)
