Rookie Front Seven (pre draft)

Postby Pullo Vision » Wed Apr 17, 2019 5:21 pm

Strong group this year, with tons of talents expected to go in the top 10 of the NFL draft. With the offensive side appearing unexciting for many, where do you take this year's group?

Is Josh Allen better as a 3-4 LB or 4-3 End? Quinen Williams is listed as a DT, but he moved to that position his last year because Bama had a hole at the position. Williams excelled while learning a new position- will he be a DE in the NFL? R Gary struggled his last year due to playing through injury. Is he a late steal target?

I understand Allen to be a better fit as a stand up OLB in a 3-4. Burns and Polite as well.

Q Williams will be a DT if he goes to a 4-3, and he will almost certainly be a DE if he goes to a 3-4.

Not a fan of Gary. He might be able to become a poor man’s Clowney, but he doesn’t deserve to be a top 15 pick in the league, IMO.

Montez Sweat & Clelin Ferrell will be 4-3 DEs most likely.

Ed Oliver will get drafted in the early 2nd in most rookie drafts, due to his name value. I won’t be drafting him. He’s more of an elite run stopper than a sack artist.

Christian Wilkins may be a Jonathan Allen-type of DE in a 3-4, but obviously he should be able to flourish as a DT in a 4-3. I like him.

Don’t get sucked into the Dexter Lawrence hype. He’s Vita Vea, not Ndomakong (sp.) Suh

I admit, big Q Williams fan. Chris Jones clone?

Jeffrey Simmons seems a consistently highly rated, but the ACL injury is a concern. Seems he's getting projected to go 1st round in the NFL.

Christian Wilkins is another highly rated DT.

Either of these DTs a potential DE, like Q Williams?
