Alabama IDP Prospects

Postby GridironGuerilla » Fri Mar 01, 2019 1:40 pm

Wondering your thoughts regarding the IDP prospects from Bama this season. Particularly Williams, Thompson, and Wilson. Curious your takes on whether or not they will be special players as far as IDP is concerned? Worth a Devy depleted early 2nd?

Williams is quite impressive from what I’ve seen. A noteworthy player across multiple draft classes at his position. I liked Da’Ron Payne, but Williams is more of a disruptor. As to what that means for pick value, I’m not sure, but if it is DT Premium and defy depleted in this class, I could perhaps get on board, though probably higher than I’d feel clmfortable. Getting elite talent is always a good thing though, depending what else is available.

Mack Wilson seems alright, but he’s no Reuben Foster, or even Evans from my perspective. Better than Ragland, but not sure I’m spending for him at a 2nd. I’d need to dive into the specifics further (league, roster, available players, etc).

Thompson, no thanks. Don’t see him fantasy relevant.

Wilson might luck into fantasy relevance just because of his athleticism and the fact that he'll be a top-50 pick. He reminds me of Darron Lee in that regard (although Lee was a superior athlete)

If playing dt required and William's doesnt go to Arizona and become a DE then league dependent I could see him being worth a 2nd. I think he still has value as a DE burden not as much and I wouldn't spend an early end on him in most leagues at that point, though obviously there are still exceptiond
