IDP Saftey help

Postby PNWHawkfan » Thu Sep 13, 2018 6:35 am

Jessie Bates, Cinn Bengals Rookie Safety. Not much buzz about this kid but he was available on WW this week. Any info on him? Seems like a good pick up to replace Keanu Neal owners.

I believe he played more of a FS role, as that’s what Iloka was.

Depends on your scoring and the particular defense. In my leagues the SS position tends to be a bit more valuable that FS due to the relative number of tackles. This is especially true for teams that like to play the SS in the box frequently. Bates seems like a kid that has pretty impressive range and is going to get his hands on a lot of balls, so I've got him ranked near the top of FS players but lower middle when comparing him to SS players.
