Snap Counts

Postby jp4703 » Mon Sep 10, 2018 8:59 am

This is my second year doing IDP and I'm still trying to get the hang of it. I've learned one thing though with IDP you need to find players with high snap counts. Which sites it any do you guys use to monitor snap counts? I want to make sure I'm playing the right guys weekly who get the best chances to produce.

This week I put Perryman instead of Hicks and it burned me at LB. I also realized I have 3 DB's who play 100% of the snaps so I should probably start using a DB at flex instead of LB. Right now I think the only 2 LB's I have that will play 100% is Whitehead and Hicks. I know it's only week 1 and it's a small sample size but it's at least something to work with.
16 team - 42rosters - 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX, 1PK, 3DE/DL, 2DB, 2LB, 1DFLEX

RB: L. Bell, D. Cook, J. Conner, M. Sanders, A. Blue, J. Ajayi, A. Barnes.
WR: M. Thomas, A.J. Green, J. Jones, C. Godwin, Z. Jones, J. Reynolds, K. Kirkwood, J. Moore, J. Hurd, T. Benjamin.
TE: Z. Ertz, J. Smith, M. Andrews, D. Waller, J. Sternberger.
K: M. Badgley.
DB: L. Collins, J. Johnson, J. Tart, C. Geathers, M. Blair.
DL: C. Dunlap, D. Barnett, J. Casey, B. Graham, G. McCoy, J. Allen.
LB: T. Whitehead, J. Hicks, J. Collins, J. Brown, K. White, G. Avery, C. Barton, B. Cashman, J. Ryan, J. Tavai, Q. Williams.

I sometimes use idpguru.com. The site is ugly and a little unorganized, but you usually get a snap count breakdown each week. I have definitely benefited from their breakdowns in the past. If you find other sites that do the breakdown, I would love to know about them.

LOVE IDP guru.com but definitely outdated and clunky lol. It's also geard towards redraft but if you are simply using it for statistics and start/sit and pickup advice it's gold. For me Pro-Football-Reference.com is the go to site for statistics information. I find it to be the easiest to use one stop shop for player and team game to game and even season long and historical statistics. I have it bookmarked but often just google say "Arizona Cardinals snap count" and this is what comes up as the very fist hit on the results list...

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/ ... counts.htm

I find it invaluable.

I feel that knowing the snap counts gives you a slight advantage over your leaguemates.
