Two talented players with promising futures. Edmunds seems to have less competition and a friendly stat crew, but is likely less NFL ready. Roquan is a sideline to sideline tackle machine with a nice D Coordinator, but Danny T isn’t too shabby either.
Which one are you taking straight up? Does this change between tackle heavy and big play heavy?

I'm taking Edmunds here for all the reasons you mention above, and less competition from tackles like Roquan has from Danny Trevathan. I watched alot of Edmunds in college and he's going to have a solid tackle floor with alot of big plays mixed in. I remember him being in the other team's backfield alot when he played for the Hokies. Is this a Hokie homer call on my part? Maybe. In reality, I love both as players and had them ranked equally before the draft, but Edmunds' landing spot is the deciding factor for me.

My gut tells me Edmunds does more immediately as the Bills defense will always be on the field.

For this year, Roquan. In the long term, I have Edmunds by a large margin. Edmunds literally does not know what he is doing on the field yet and because of his phenomenal physical gifts he can still be productive at a high level. Edmunds just turned 20 a few days ago and I think with NFL coaching, he has the potential to be truly special....like hall of fame special. Roquan is extremely good if a team keeps him clean and uses him as a tackle machine similar to Lavonte David or Telvin Smith.

For me it’s all about the upside. Smith has the higher floor and will be a great IDP asset, but Edmunds has top 5 potential imo....
I only play in 16x53 with 10+ taxi size leagues with full IDP. All are PPR and most value return yardage. So my opinions may be skewed To these deep roster leagues.
