LB Jatavis Brown

Hey guys,

What are your thoughts on LB Jatavis Brown?

His first three games last year started off fantastic then his usuage dropped resulting in a brutal season.

Does anyone have any shares of Brown?

The narrative (and I tend to believe it) is that the coaching staff doesn't want to give him a full workload, to protect himself from injury. If that's the case going forward, he's basically worthless.

I'm absolutely on the same wavelength as Lukky here.

He started last season as a full time player, then got a bump and was just a part-timer from then on [bar one week wen no-one else was fit]. It seems they see him as a role player rather than an every down player. If that wasn't true then Adrian Phillips wouldn't have been installed.

Jatavis has had about 12/13 good games in his career. For some reason lots of people think he's a really good player who just had a down 2017. In my mind he's the post-hype Steve Slaton of LBs.

Try to sell him if you find an owner in your league who wants to "buy low" on Brown. Sell for a 4th or better.

I sold him for 3.06 in a 16 team superflex IDP league a couple weeks ago. I think the value is about the right, but it was still tough to part with his upside. With that said, I too believe the coaching staff just doesn't believe he can play on all three downs and remain healthy. His draft pedigree (5th round) also doesn't help the situation.

I also think the Chargers will use at the very least a mid round pick on a linebacker. Perryman is injured a fair amount, Toomer left, and I doubt they view Pullard as anything more than a back up. LB is a fairly big need for them.

I would have loved to get that for him. I had to settle for the 99th overall in a14-team IDP. Hopefully I will be able to get a better asset there.
