IDP player/draft pick values

Postby bruskie10 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 11:10 pm

I wanted to get some feedback on others thoughts of draft pick values for these IDP's in a trade (12 team - 0.5pt assist tackle, 1.5pt solo, 6pt. Sack):

LB A. Barr
LB D. Hightower
DE E. Griffen
*TEAM 1*
30 team PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1WT flex, 2 WRT flex

QB - Ryan Tannehill
RB - Ty Davis-Price / Deon Jackson
WR - AJ Brown / Stefon Diggs / Terry McLaurin / Devin Duvernay / Nico Collins / Kyle Phillips
TE - Gerald Everett

Griffen worth a late 1st at most. The other 2 aren't worth much. Late 4th.

With the tackle scoring that light, I don't think I could sell Griffen for more than a mid-late 2nd nor would I buy for any more than that. The difference between Griffen (during a career year at 30) and a guy like Jurrell Casey in your league last year was probably about 1.5 ppg. It wouldn't be worth it to me to give up a mid 2nd for that, let alone a late 1st when you can target a guy like Bradley Chubb 8 years younger with much more upside.

Barr and Hightower are big names with waiver wire production, even in deep, high scoring IDP leagues. I'd keep the picks, shoot for high upside guys in the later rounds and utilize the waiver wire for the same production you'd get out of these two.
