Am I crazy? Trading a QB for LB

Postby bills2 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 9:18 am

I took over my first super flex squad, I've done IDP in my other leagues but this league has higher scores for those IDP guys than I am use too. My LBs are sad, so I'm trying to upgrade there. Would I be crazy to send Ryan Tannehill (208 points in 2016) for Deion Jones (234 points in 2017)? I feel like the Jones side should probably have to add some pieces, what do you guys think?

This looks like a 1 QB league. How many LB's are you allowed to start on the IDP side?

It's for team 3 in my sig, not enough room to list all of the defensive guys too. It has a super flex, so 1 qb but that super flex slot. Start 3-4 Lb's. Zach Brown(Was) and Preston Brown(Cin) and probably my two best, then it drops off majorly after that.

I'm not trading any starting QB for any LB in a SF personally.

Yes not a good move. Keep the QB, even if it's Ryan T. He's worth more than jones by a mid 2nd.

If it was 1 qb then Jones easy. Given that it is superflex tannehill is worth more than that unless Miami drafts a qb round 1

I tried Jones, 2.05 and a 2019 1st for Tannehill, the added 2019 was probably a bit much but wanted to try. It was declined. 2.5 is the highest pick he had, dont really want to just move him for Jones and a 2019 first.

Don't equate players purely on points. It's not equal here because of scarcity.

There are only ever 32 starting QBs. Even if we only include inside LBs there are 64 of them. Plus they get injured all the time and there are also another 30-odd part-time LBs and pass rushers.

Its MUCH easier to find replacement LBs than it is QBs.

I'm not opposed to adding stud LBs for starting offensive players.... but I think the Jones side would definitely have to add more to this deal because of the superflex. Since you start 3 RB and 4 WR, maybe another offensive player/starter along with Jones would be a starting point.
