Think a push...if he plays in the box like he did in GB

I think we see more of a hybrid defense in Pittsburgh than ever before. Much the same way he was used in Green Bay and along the lines of What Arizona has done with their system.

What does this do to Sean Davis' value?

I think Burnett has lost a step but could still have some decent games.

I think it will be a ding on his stats while Burnett is starting, but maybe not too terribly much.

I have to think that Burnett might play some kind of a hybrid SS/LB role (he did in GB too). That might only be for a few snaps per game, but maybe it could end up being half of each game vs certain teams. That would turn Davis into a hybrid SS/FS type player I would guess.

I think I am going to expect a bit of a downturn in Davis' tackles for as long as Burnett is playing full time. Mike Mitchell was usually around 55 tackles and 20 assists between 2013-2016... I think I will expect a little bit more production from Davis in 2018, maybe 62-22 (assuming he plays some SS)?

It's worth noting that Burbett played a lot in the slot last season. 244 snaps to be precise. It's entirely possible he'll play that role - just as Kenny Vaccaro did on NO.

I tend to think Davis will play deeper and Burnett play the box role just because it's SO hard to find a deep safety these days. But that's supposition.
