Simmons - Bears only used Amos because of injuries

I was just gonna say, I worry that Amos is only good in IDP (I don't know that he's been good or bad for real football, can't say that I've studied tons of Chicago secondary film) and will recede into the shadows going forward, whereas Simmons has kind of balled out this season, including in coverage from what I've seen. Looks like he's here to stay!

I suppose McDonald because he's been more of a box safety in the past?

Simmons replaced Ward

McDonald is playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Versatile can play in coverage or be in the box eating up tackles.

Depending on how deep your league is, Clinton-Dix should already be rostered as he's a Top IDP safety (even though he's a FS)... They both are 2 guys you'll want to hold for 2018.

I already own Clinton Dix.... Simmons is DB7 in my league and Clinton Dix is DB30. Was considering dropping CD for Simmons, but I dropped my third TE Fiedorowicz instead.

How about TJ McDonald and/or Su'a Cravens? Rank the DB's for 2018 including Evans.

I want no part of Cravens

Not even Cravens for free??? I know he is a head case in more ways than 1 but is ultra-athletic. Is it the headcase reason you don't want a part of him?

Unless the league is 20+ teams, it's simply far too easy to find starting strong safeties on the waiver wire each season. And Cravens is just a project.

Safety (and Linebacker for the most part) is a position where I'm not willing to stash as I "wait for development". If you're not already a starter, I don't want you.
