Leo Williams Trade

Ive been interested in getting another top DL option after Quinns unfortunate move to OLB.
Small talks with the owner have landed me an offer in my inbox of a '19 3rd for Williams.

Team 1

At first I thought this was an instant accept, but looking a bit more into Williams, hes been pretty disappointing through his career thus far.
He hasnt missed a game these past 3 years, but through those 41 games he has credit for only 10.5 sacks.... Shoot, DeMarcus Lawrence has that many this season alone.

The league is somewhat Big Play oriented and Williams sits at DL82 with 25.5 points on the season.

What should we make of this, and is a 3rd for Leonard Williams still a good deal at this point?
Thanks for the input.

I would pass, especially in a big play scoring format. You can use that 3rd to draft another DE who will have more value.

First off, Leo isn't a sack artist. Not that he can't get after the QB, but he's not an edge defender who will ever get 15+ sacks. He's more of an interior rusher like Gerald McCoy, Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, etc. The nice thing is that he's historically been a high tackle producer, but that hasn't been the case so far this season.

That being said, yes he's been extremely disappointing this year. Had a good game against the Bills on TNF tho!

He was actually dropped in one of my leagues, so I was able to grab him on waivers. He still has much talent to give up on at this point.

For sure! And he's actually put up some stats the past couple weeks

I have a Leo Williams share and would not sell for a '19 3rd. It's a 16-tm league, so take that context and figure what you will. JJ Watt has been an interior DL just the same, so I don't entirely discredit the position. Leo is a very high talent that is still worth more than a 3rd rd pick two years away, imo.
