motherlode wrote: Thu Sep 28, 2017 2:08 am How long do you keep rolling guys like Hunter and Neal out in your starting lineup? Right now in my league Neal is DB 43 and Hunter is DL137. Does there come a time when they arent worth even holding, despite their preseason rankings?
Hunter is still a weekly start unless you're only starting 2 DLs. But I would start him over guys like Addison, Okafor, C. Jones, etc. His talent didn't go anywhere.

Neal is a guy I would feel fine benching for a week or so and giving a start to a guy like Poyer, Farley, Kindred, etc

Hunter owners were rewarded this week...finally. I think the key with these kind of guys is to try and look behind the numbers. Are they getting less snaps? Has their role changed so they are in a lesser position to be productive IDPs? Are they not getting pressures? But if they are getting the snaps, their role hasn't changed, and/or they are getting pressures and just haven't gotten the sacks to show for it yet then you have to just keep rolling them out there. Chances are you'll end up benching them right as they come to life. I did that with Cam Newton this week. I finally sat him in the two leagues where I own him... Regression has a funny way of hitting right as you make a change.

LOL i had Hunter benched for the first time this week, but Fletcher Cox being inactive forced me to start him. Yay me!!!

So the guys who continue to not reward us are:

The Jet DE Brothers, Leo & Mo

Dunlap kinda sorta, along with Ziggy (1/4)

JJ Watt, still hasn't given us stats yet but they're coming

Barry Church has been garbage as far as stats, and I benched him yesterday as he finally puts together some plays... grrrr!

Eric Kendricks has been rough to start, but I'm not worried long term. That team's just playing so well right now, he's not getting the chance to soak up tackle opportunities.

Great to see Addae deliver!

that stinks! I made my mind up that if Hunter isn't hurt, I'm not benching him. The guy's motor just doesn't stop when he's on the field!

Everyone who's been frustrated with their rookie shares of H. Reddick, he's now a 3-4 OLB :/

Drafted Reddick knowing it was probably going to be next year before he really produces, so the benefit I see now is that I get to see him play more

I am very happy to see Ragland being worked into the lineup. I'm hoping he can progress from here and remove himself from the bust list. He's a down hill thumper and was considered a QB-of the defense type prospect coming out of college, and so far it's more like we just haven't seen him as opposed to non-performing. —Best, Steve
