Just move on already? Getting a little tired of waiting on this supposed IDP stud in the making to take off. Thoughts? Is Thomas Davis even gone next year?

He's Kevin white except at least White can blame it on injuries. I'm not cutting him yet, but he's very frustrating to own. Especially since I know that even if he gets a starting job as early as later this year, what's the ceiling? LB2? Yay... I get those off the WW.

He's probably only rosterable in leagues of 14+ teams. 12-teamers can safely let him sit on waivers.

I'm holding him in a 16-team league because A) he's really not tradable, and B) he's backing up two guys (Luke/Davis) with a long list of reasons to hold insurance policies. At this point, I've trimmed a whole list of LBs from my preseason rosters with far less chance of seeing meaningful reps. Shaq is definitely not buried, but I can understand the situation being a test of one's patience.

Thanks guys. This is for team in sig so it's only a 10 team league. I'm pretty top heavy (with injury risk players) but not very deep. I sat on Shaq all last year expecting this to be the year and then the Panthers decided to extend Davis in August. Decisions decisions.

I'm feeling the same way. In a 14 team league and have owned him for awhile. just a roster spot killer so far for me. We here a lot about his talent, but no real points on the field for a season yet.

In any league with less than 40 lb starters he is droppable as even if he hits you can likely find as good of player on waivers. Mid 40s or more lb starters he is probably with a stash. I would assume with 64 or more starters he is at least a guy you could consider starting

Also, I don't think the Kevin white statement is accurate. I could see any comparison from Tony Gerhard to Derek Henry to Colin kaepernick to Aaron Rodgers in that all these guys were significant draft picks who sat behind guys their coaches seemed to prefer at the time either keeping them off the field or limiting their usage. Now this list includes both success stories and failures and yet unknowns and is much deeper than those 4 but I think they are more fitting than someone who has been asked to be the wr1, failed when healthy and force fed volume, and been constantly hurt

Fair enough, but how would you feel as a Henry owner, if the Titans re-signed Murray this offseason to an extension? That'd be a head scratcher. Yet that's what Carolina did. That tells me they know Shaq isn't ready to be a starter. #Bust

Right, that is why I gave examples of both busts and successes there. Also, unlike white there is a league deepth where thompson is a contributor. There is no league depth where white is going to do anything being hurt. I agree, in shallower leagues he belongs on waivers with the bad signs out there indicating he likely won't be what people had hoped.

I was very close to updating this thread and asking the same thing! I did end up dropping him but hes still on waivers. I dont really have an obvious drops to get him (Raekwon and Joe Williams are in an IR spot). Do we know if Davis is still hurting from the rib injury?

Another weekend of Shaq playing all the snaps...has he taken over or is this still related to Davis' ribs?

I really hope so! I guess we won't know for CERTAIN unless Rivera himself were to say something.

For us who have held Shaq for a few seasons, the tide has shifted. He's crushed it back to back weeks, and I think it will be enough to keep him startable the rest of the year. Davis is still going to be in the way, but it's no longer going to be a hesitation on whether Shaq is going to get the snaps.

I want to believe this...Shaq just feels like Derrick Henry tho.

Do I drop Corey James to pick up (again) Shaq?
