Who to snag off waiver wire for simple IDP?

Postby Han » Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:03 am

We have a very basic IDP league where we have to use any 3 players, no position requirements. 1pt/tackle, .5p/assist, 3 pt/sack, 2.33/passes defended, & 3.33/INT,Safety & Forced Fumble.

Dansby doesn't seem to have much left in the tank anymore so I'm looking to replace him. Available players are:

T. Suggs
R. Kerrigan
N. Vigil
D. Davis
R. Humber
Z. Cunningham
A. Chickillo

I'm leaning towards Vigil, Davis, or Cunningham since I'd like to get younger, but as one can imagine with our requirements, there are a lot of available players out there. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Sounds like a league that values big plays. I like Davis a lot this year because he plays most of the snaps on a bad defense. At some point in time he's bound to get some big plays while piling on the tackles. I like Vigil as well but I don't know how his status will be once Burfict gets back. I have him on my taxi squad in my main league and I'm waiting to see what happens once Vontaze is back. I like Cunningham. I drafted him this year because I felt he would have been the guy to step in if the oft-injured Cushing was to go down. Cushing is injured right now in a short week so I would also take him, if you're still looking for youth.

With those starting requirements, I'd play it week by week.
Which position scores best with those settings? Looks like it favors cornerbacks, in which case I'd be picking DBs that are lining up against poor QBs. Trumaine Johnson won me my week 1 matchup and is now going back to the waiver wire.
