Shane Ray or Navorro (counter for TE or DL?)

Postby saw061600 » Wed Sep 06, 2017 6:34 pm

I have Bowman and don't see any reason to trade. Been offered Ray + very late round pick.
Right to keep Bowman or is Ray worth grabbing? For team 1, the no waiver wire league (sig needs post draft updates)

Edit: looked at his roster, thinking to counter for rookie TE (Njoku) or DL (Frank Clark) for Bowman or maybe younger LB

No way. Even in super big play scoring, Ray is injured AND largely unproven

What I figured. Thanks for the input; always worried I'm missing something but should know by now to trust my gut, research, and forums.

Just finally got a chance to look at his roster. He's hurting already at LB with quite a few injuries. Thinking I may try for Howard or Njoku...

Go for it. That would be surprising but the hype on those two have settled a bit.

He's not going for our just drafted TEs. He would do DL. Some of his DL roster: Malcom Brown, Buckner, Rankins, Addison, Frank Clark, Takkarist McKinley, Tre Flowers. I do like Bowman but which, if any , listed DLs would be a good swap? Maybe try to give Darron Lee or Compton instead? (I like a few and top DLs seem harder to find than LBs)

Of those DL's, the only ones I really like are Frank Clark and Trey Flowers. I do think Addison is a little underrated this year right now though.

If you could somehow flip Compton and Lee for either of Clark or Flowers, I think thats a steal (but I doubt it gets done). I would be curious what others say, but trading Bowman for either straight up would be enticing to me. You could try Bowman and Compton for both...but, I think thats a little light ultimately. If he values Compton still and you could flip him for Addison, I always like that a lot.

I'm sure the other owner is high on Flowers after last night, and the rest of his DLs I don't like as much as Bowman... can you get a 2nd or maybe a 3rd & 4th rounder for Bowman?

Had an offer of DL Clark + round 15 pick, turned down. Clark is a bit too buried right now for that low of pick in the mix.

Traded Bowman for Clark straight up last night. Not a sneaky trade, let the owner know Bowman was released but owner had stated previously he was looking for depth. Owner figures Bowman will get picked up somewhere and still produce. Probably true but I remember reading a piece that showed 49s were one of the teams with the highest Assists awarded for tackles...Bowman got credit for a lot of assists while there.
