NE Patriots Defensive Ends

Postby lukkynumber13 » Sat Aug 26, 2017 12:45 pm

So now that Ealy has been cut, this situation is quite interesting! Flowers almost HAS to be a full time player, no more annoying rotation (as long as he continues playing well).

With Rivers hurt for the year, and Nink retiring, who's the other DE? Shea McClellan? Deatrich Wise Jr?

Don't be surprised if they bring in a few bodies after roster cutdowns in a week or so. Flowers should have a more consistent role, but Bill likes to keep his linemen fresh.

I would agree with Wise getting a boost.

They just traded for Cassius Marsh of the Seahawks. While not a groundbreaking exchange, it wasn't just a flyer pickup off the scrap heap either. Marsh has some real talent. Expect him to compete heavily for the other starting DE gig, across from Flowers

I agree about Marsh. I'm a Seahawks fan and have watched his every snap. Dude is a NE type player. Constant motor and a really good special teamer. He will be utilized by "The Hoodie", and do well.

Seattle was stacked on the DLine especially after bringing in Richardson. This gives Marsh an opportunity play more and for another contender. Pete Carroll loves seeing guys move on to get more playing opportunity. He really does enjoy his players having success, even if it's on a different team.
