2017 Top Rookies (Off/Def)

Not sure if anyone is in a similar setup for rookies, but for our league if you put a rookie in your active/taxi in year 1, you guarantee the contract for the full 3 years. So most rookies are redshirted (at zero cost) and owners decide in year 2 whether to put them on the active/taxi rosters.

Just curious to hear who people would take the risk on putting in their lineup in year 1. Typically I don't start many rookies, so my list is small. Would be interested to hear about what other people think. Especially on the defensive side.

Offensive Rookies (Year 1 Starters):
- Fournette - Seems like the safest bet
- McCaffrey - I'm 50/50 on him in year 1, but I think Panthers get him enough touches to be valuable
- Corey Davis - WR is usually the safest position, so hard not to put him in.
- Mixon - Also 50/50. Leaning more towards him being a redshirt

Defensive Rookies (Year 1 Starters):
- Jarrad Davis - Whitehead and Levy going to effect his time much? Feels like a safe bet.
- Reuben Foster - Another safe bet? Especially with the Malcolm Smith injury
- Jabrill Peppers - Cle D will be on the field a lot, no?

Would love to hear other opinions.

I'd remove Davis and add Cooper Kupp. OJ Howard should be in the discussion too.

I don't know much about Cooper Kupp, although I did draft him late in the 2nd round of our rookie draft. I went through and looked at other mock drafts that people posted here and it seems like he has jumped a few rounds in the last few weeks.

As for O.J., I also drafted him, but can't trust TE's in their first season, hasn't worked for me yet. Love his long term value though.
