Need a DB, who do I grab?

Who do you take and why?

I like Hyde and Calvin Pryor on a whim that he's a Greg Williams type of player. Hyde made all my rosters this offseason cuz he looks like a starting candidate on a good defense without a solid LB crew.

I agree that Hyde is a great option for the reasons presented above. He also has return capability if those points matter in your league.

A rookie I've targeted and is having a great camp is Josh Jones from Green Bay. He's been talked up by veterans at camp who say he's setting the tone for the defense when he's on the field. He is bigger, faster the Hyde (whom he was drafted to replace), and he's a box safety who may be a hybrid SS/LB. HE COULD BE A THREE DOWN PLAYER WITH HEAVY TACKLE UPSIDE.

I'm gonna issue a caution flag on Josh Jones. It would be a straight miracle for him to jump Burnett and Clinton-Dix as a rook. Randall looks like he's the nickel back with big bodied rookie Kevin King manning a boundary. Josh Jones doesn't quite fit into that starting bunch, imo. He could be next man up in the secondary, however.
