Defensive Tackles

Postby sms » Mon Jul 10, 2017 5:53 pm

Aside from the few DT's that produce, who is worth a flyer? I have Rankins as my only DT and must roster 2. McDowell was already drafted. Who do I pull off the waiver wire or pluck out of the free agent pool? I value the information you gentlemen provide in this forum.

Desmond Bryant, Jordan Phillips, all the rookies minus McDowell, are available. Even aside from these, who a some lower end flyers that could be decent bye week replacements? I will roster 2 only because it is mandatory.

Corey Liuget? Grady Jarrett? These guys seem to be a bit underrated in my leagues.

Solomon Thomas is easily a top dynasty asset if available. I can't imagine he would be available if McDowell is taken?

Piling on Thomas if available, otherwise I'd roster someone and move people based on performance, Phillips could be interesting as it looks like he may see more snaps

I 2nd Liuget....was ok as a DE but will boost as a DT
Malik Collins has some great upside if he is available.
a deep deep sleeper flyer Eddie Goldman. Was not very good/hurt last year. Could be flying under the radar. And the Bears DEF could see the field a TON this year with the opposing team running the clock out.
I only play in 16x53 with 10+ taxi size leagues with full IDP. All are PPR and most value return yardage. So my opinions may be skewed To these deep roster leagues.

Dynasty Fantasy is not a game, it’s a full time hobby.

A lot of times the DT becomes a match up spot for me. Rotating guys left and right.

Kyle Williams is cheap and has produced at a very high level. He is not a "dynasty" target, but is worth trading for if making a 2017 push.

I like Williams but the owner tried to pawn him off on me with players that would not make my roster for a 1st round rookie pick, Crowell and some other pieces. Obviously I declined. Then he found a sucker for basically the same trade. I hope the Rams go back to a 4-3 next year and Donald is once again a DT.

I wouldn't hold my breath about the Rams. I believe Wade Phillips will make them into a top unit for the next couple years. It's what he does with those kind of players.

50/50 Chance at Browns 3-tech. I've nabbed shares of Larry Ogunjobi for taxi squad.
