Blockbuster Trade

Postby Pantherbro13 » Wed Jul 05, 2017 9:30 pm

Huge trade got offered to me for 1.2. Team is in sig.

Points for the league are tackle=2 points, assist=1 point, sack=3 points, interception= 4 points, interception yards=1 point per 10 yards, forced fumble=2 points, fumble recovery=2 points, fumble return yards=1 point per 10 yards, pass deflection=2 points and defensive TDs=6 points.

To put it in perspective of how IDPs are in the league...Collins finished with 286 points last year, which was good for 30th overall in the league. Kuechly finished 57th overall in 2015 despite missing 3 1/2 games. Mathieu finished 66th overall in 2015 despite missing two games.

Starting requirements are 3-4 LB and 4-5 DB.

Thoughts on the trade?

Pretty fair deal. I went with the players and a future 1st. It's a solid deal for you, but you really need to address TE in this draft. I see you have 3,4, and 6. Nice.

Shaheen has been a favorite get of mine in the 25-30 range. I'd also be looking to move Hankins to any Colts fan in your league. Danny Shelton is not an ideal IDP asset, neither. Reshad Jones is a good sell while you can, too. I like the rest of your squad in win-now fashion.

Yeah my DL situation is pretty shaky. I had Robert Quinn but he got moved to LB and I moved him immediately. TE is getting addressed this draft for sure, whether it be first or second round. I've been offered for Reshad Jones but I haven't gotten anything I like. Jones scored 300+ and was a top 20 player two years ago.

Hate to pass on LF or Davis, but getting the 18 1st swayed me to the players side

I voted the 1.02 before I saw the 2018 1st. I'd take the package.

Thing about Reshad Jones is that Miami upgraded a good bit at linebacker since then, and now they have a new scheme. It may put him in less of a role, and I typically sell high on DBs. Landon Collins would be a rare hold for me for now.

I chose 1.2. Main reason is that Kuechly and the Honey Badger are red flags for injuries, so their value isn't quite their ceiling imo. Landry is great and all, but your scoring requirements don't make me value IDP as much as top tier offensive weapons.

These last 3 responses are why I love these forums. I always appreciate your insight Bruiser, Lukky, and nice analysis JDub. With input from guys like you, Oslo, skip, FiremanEd, Tomk not to mention Breeze and the like, I've learned more in my time on these IDP forums than any other rescource on the internet.

I feel like we IDPers are much more of a tight-knit community versus the frequent posters in the other forums.

I frequently can find bones to pick with Bruiser, but I will always carry tremendous respect for his opinions and will give a second thought to my own reasoning, when he disagrees with me.

Same thing with FiremanEd, Oslo, Tom, etc
