JJ Watt or Garçon?

Postby jnappy » Thu Jun 22, 2017 9:21 pm

I have an offer in my inbox that essentially amounts to trading Garçon for JJ on team 1 in sig. I take that deal right? For scoring context, JJ scored 335 in 2015, and Garçon scored 201 last season.

You can't really afford to give up Garçon, that's rough. I have no experience with 32-T leagues

Just looking at value, yeah. What is the bench size?

I'm in one 32 team single player copy league but it's with full lineups and 45 man rosters + taxi squad so waivers there are deader than dead. You can't find a single point off waivers. But the roster in your sig is only 24 players so it should be a little easier to find backups off waivers, at least on defense?

I guess I would take the deal but it would leave you awfully liable to injuries on offense. You're rostering Cody Core and Mychal Rivera so I can imagine that any offensive players on waivers are deep long shots.

We have 25 man rosters during the offseason. I think I could trade for a viable backup WR though.
I started the offseason no one, and have been through Tyrell, Edelman, and now Garçon because of different trades.

In that case, if you're an owner who gets deals done, I wouldn't worry about it. Take Watt and go for the win this year.

Close, but think I'd roll the dice on Watt

Watt is too good to pass up here. Major point gap, sell high on Garcon.

*Edit*
For the record I almost always side with offense but Watt is just on another level.

Garcon will be the de facto #1, but in your super deep format I'd keep an eye on Ellington, Burbridge, Goodwin and Aldrick Robinson. Taylor has made some noise but I wouldn't bank on that coming through any time soon.

Definitely sell Garcon... If it's 32T single copy, Watt is a game changer at DE... Be a competitor this year, and sell high mid-season or at the end of the year to cash in on a bunch of rookie picks.
