Vince Williams, BJ Goodson, and Darron Lee are popular ones in my mind.

Maybe an unpopular one is whoever wins the MLB spot in Oak-Vegas.

thx Bruiser...that was going to be my next question...best place to get snap counts.
I only play in 16x53 with 10+ taxi size leagues with full IDP. All are PPR and most value return yardage. So my opinions may be skewed To these deep roster leagues.

Outsiders is good but it's a bit fiddly. I prefer to get them from PFR. It takes them a day or so longer but it's much easier.

I cant recommend tracking them yourself enough. Going through them player by player every week drums the usage into your head and you can see trends coming a mile off

Micah Hyde is stepping into Corey Graham's spot (new coach and scheme, tho). I like Buffalo IDPs. I think Pryor in Cleveland could be a sneaky buy low opportunity. If I'm wrong, it is likely a minimum investment to acquire him.

Yep. Acquiring Hyde everywhere. Also Hughes, Hodges, Ragland. I'm investing little to grab all of these guys. It's surprising how 15 other owners are overlooking them in my leagues.

What about Emmanuel Lamur in Minn? Kendricks in the middle, Barr on the strongside - he or Brothers gets that weakside it could be a good spot for points

He's rather limited talent wise so he's more suited for a special teams and rotational role. And even if Lamur wins the WLB job it's only going to be a part-time stop-gap role for him since they'll take him out in sub-packages and I don't see them re-signing him next offseason. If one of the younger guys wins the third starting LB job you can at least hope that they'll turn into something bigger with time. I think we know who Lamur is by now.

Do we still have a 3-down grade on Barr? He doesn't fit the mold for me, and I sold off a couple years ago. There's mounting evidence that he's seen his best days.

I'm betting on a pair of 3-down backers in Minny that doesn't include Barr.

Nice article and point well made. I'm 99.2% sure that Barr will have a 3-down role this season, he basically played every snap last season, but the article brings up a few good points. If he becomes more of a traditional SLB it would open up a role for another WILL or MIKE to get a lot more snaps, I just don't see that prototype cover LB on their roster. I'm not sure which of those LBs would be better than Barr in coverage. But my underlying premise was that Barr/Kendricks have a lock on sub-package snaps for the foreseeable future, and that might be wrong of me which makes it more interesting to take a shot on the young LBs on their roster.

I like Brothers profile as a player but he is more of a MLB. What about Elijah Lee.....has some sub package ability in coverage.
Lamur is a very athletic guy but can put the brains and ability together. Lee already has coverage skills and the athletic profile. I have him stashed on taxi in a few places.

I always try to read the comments below an article for a bigger picture. You can usually pick out the fan comments that know what they are talking about and what they have seen. It does seem that Barr is a bad coverage linebacker. In fact the graphic showing PFF stats indicate that when Barr is on the field, other teams are going after him and beating him. After jumping out to that hot start and missing the playoffs, I'll bet the Vikes take a long look in the mirror and promote Brothers. Yes, he's naturally a MIKE. I think Kendricks profiles more as WILL, but they are practically interchangeable. Click on any site, and LBs are classified all over the map. There is no uniformity in how they are used anymore, but Brothers is excellent vs the run and good enough/ better than Barr in coverage.

KJ Dillon should be starting SS in Houston & Mo Alexander for the Rams
Rotoworld has Dillon listed as a FS, and Corey Moore at SS. Think they will use them interchangeable. Meaning they will both play a little bit of FS & SS.
I'm looking for a bounce back from LB Brandon Marshall in Denver. This guy is better than his play last year.
Bought some cheap shares of Mike Adams when he signed with CAR....great spot for a high scoring FS
And a deep sleeper for me is Armonty Bryant. DE. If he can keep from getting suspended, I think he can rack up some points playing across from Ansah. And he basically free.
Panthers run interchangeable safeties as well. Adams may be more of a box safety for us since Coleman has had found success at the FS position with us. Watch out for Dean Marlowe, Panthers are really high on him and he will be given a shot to earn play time.
