I play in large salarycap leagues so usually trade down for depth. Every year I try to find 1 DE I think is gonna steadily rise and throw him on taxi. I did this with both Brandon Graham and Jerry Hughes hoping both would get to DE designation at some point because their game matches that type of defense. Hughes has been frustrating with his designation changing a lot. I was all over Danielle Hunter, have him in 7 of my 8 leagues I play in, another hit.
Last yr was Tapper, high athletics....but yet to get on the field so we will see. Broken back is never a good sign ... argh.
This year my player is Tanoh Kpassgnon, although him being in KC 3-4 kinda dampened that one....but I look for high athletic traits so he would stand out for sure. The hit will come if he figures it out.
3 other guys I grabs some late round shares and even FA pick ups on that really caught my eye and why.
Daeshon Hall- another high athletic guy who reminds me of a young Charles Johnson. Think he will replace him in CAR as there is not too much talent in front of him. Will need to get stronger but think the talent is there.
Jordan Willis- this guy played a gazillion snaps in college with a huge motor. Anybody with that much energy and stamina has a shot. I think he will beat out Gillberry this year and has direct path to play time.
Charles Harris- many might not agree here as his combine measurable where not that high. But on film he just reeks havoc, from all over the d-line. Reminded me a lot of Brandon Graham when he came out of Michigan. I think he get PT this year and replaces Wake as a full time starter next yr.
Didn't mean to write a book, but want to start giving my opinion in IDP land....and so much to say lol.

Dawgs I am gonna plant my flag on the opposite side of you when it comes to Tanoh. I think he's a slightly more polished Margus Hunt.

But I agree with you on Willis & Harris!

Like I said....the guy with the high high athletic....that guy is a rock. My opinion had nothing to do with film/production and everything to do with athletic numbers. So I can see your point.

I don't want this to be twisted in any way, but hall reminds me some of Michael strahan with the jab stab and long arms. Texas A&M plays no defense and hasn't developed anyone. I'm excited that I got him as an UDFA. I had him ranked higher than walker but took Walker knowing hall would go undrafted.

Taco I'm low on. Slow first step, don't see him being much of an IDP force. I thought he was a 7th rounder in my setup but he went late third or early fourth I think.

Chsrles Harris I wanted badly but just missed him at 4.09. I thought he was a late second.

Weird league, people draft for need almost immediately, didn't plan on Davis and Mixon at 1.06 and 2.02!
