Marquel Lee still getting rep'd as the MIKE despite not showing well in live action. Raiders must've really valued a specific role for ObiMel when they ignored ILB and drafted him in the 2nd.

Ramon Humber remains the WLB leader in the Buffalo clubhouse despite constant praise of Gerald Hodges' 2nd team work. I currently roster both with the expectation that one must get cut upon my league's roster cut-down Sep. 1st.

Nate Gerry is my sneaky rookie pick on all my teams. He's getting high praise in Philly, but not mentioned as a potential WLB starter yet. Kamu Grugier-Hill is a 2nd year player getting the same praise and competing with Gerry. Mychal Kendricks is the wild-card in that group. He has his perennial soft-tissue injury driving down his trade value (plus that contract), so he'll likely outlive the trade rumors - once again.
I picked up Gerry almost two months ago based off your rec. Few weeks back I was watching some WR game tape vs Nebraska and Gerry was everywhere. Everywhere. Not sure how he'll translate to LB but he most certainly has a ton of talent.
Gerry is listed as a DB on CBS, if he ends up being the WLB and keeps the DB label that would be nice.

Couldn't agree with you more

speaking of CBS - I noticed that Mack is still a DL on there - is CBS just slow or is this someone to target?

All the major sites are 1-2 years behind on position changes. Espn, CBS, etc. Deonne Bucannon was still a DB even last year on yahoo. That's why MFL is way better, it's a lot more realistic.

He was pretty bad when he last played. I'm not so sure he's the starter.

I currently have one spot left. Im down to K Correa (i have Mosley) Buffalos Alexander and Humber. Anyone have any input? I wonder between Alexander and Humber who is the 3 down guy. Thanks

I'd rather have the WLB over the SLB. Humber for me

I have Humber and Hodges both rostered until Sep 1st. I will have to cut whichever guy loses the WLB battle.

I would go with Correa, then Humber. I don't really see Alexander being very productive in his new role.

Oslo, Bruiser, what do we know about the starting LBs for Houston, Cincinnati, & Tennessee?

Specifically, what do we envision for Cunningham vs Cushing, Minter vs Vigil, and Woodyard vs the field?

Cushing seems to be healthier than in previous years and it sounds like he has had a good camp, I'm not confident that Cunningham will get a starting opportunity this year without an injury to McK or Cush - but chances are that one of them will be out for at least a game or two which could give Cunningham a window to impress.

Minter is the nickel along with Burfict and I think he'll keep that role.

Jayon has looked very impressive and I think he'll get the nickel role next to Avery relatively quickly, with Woodyard playing base, and grow from there.

Another one that has impressed me is Reeves-Maybin. Man, he has crazy range and can navigate in traffic. I thought he would be a project because of his build and lack of offseason participation, but the game doesn't look too big for him - he has come flying out of the gates so I'm speeding up the timeline on my expectations for him.

Corey Littleton in LA is playing inside ahead of Barron - is this a preseason thing, and injury thing or is this something to look at?

Barron returned to training about a week ago so they're just taking it slow with him. Nothing to worry about, I'm sure he'll play next week. They signed him to a $45 million contract this offseason so he's not going anywhere soon.

Out of curiousity, I checked on that contract. It was signed last offseason. He's basically on the hook for $14M this year (if you count his dead cap) with pricey team options for 2018,19,20. Barron would have to play a full allotment of snaps at a very high level this year to remain with the team @ $10M per season going forward, imo.

Barron has provided me a solid LB2 for the last few years, but I'm of the mindset that LB production should come at a cheaper cost. I would expect the Rams to have more pressing needs for their cap commitments than an LB2 in the coming years.
