Browns D will be out there a long, long time. Collins is moved around and won't overly effect schobert. Kirksey, great #s, not a great talent to me. It's a wide open competition for LB points.

The traditional SAM or Strong Side LB's responsibility is to take on blocks and give the MLB a clean path to the ball carrier. Several SLB (Collins for example) are both big and athletic enough to over achieve and make splash plays, especially whe they are 3 Down LBs (playing in Big Nickle and Dime Packages). Campbell is not playing 3 Downs consistently enough to be an elite scorer, although his is an elite athlete.

FF is a game of opportunity. As a 3 Down MLB (Edwin Jackson), he will play 1200+ snaps and average 7 tackles per week. He is not your big splash play LB like Keuchley or Wagner, but his volume alone will exceed Campbell's talent. The Rookie Duke Riley presents another obstacle for Campbell, because he can play MLB/WLB due to size, speed and short area quickness adantages. Jackson has Anthony Walker breathing down his back, but the difference between Riley /Campbell is more significant, which will propel Riley into a starting role by next season as he matures and learns the scheme. Walker will only overtake Jackson if the vet gets hurt. I just traded away Edwin Jackson because the Colts, Saints and Raiders LB situation is unpredictable. However I hade substantially deeper top tier LBs and would have probably had to cut Jackson anyway.

This. As also previously said he's getting moved around a lot keeping him on (lined up at DE during the last game). I think he'll get plenty of chances. I've managed to grab him in my leagues so hopefully he'll keep this momentum going.

If Tahir Whitehead's knee injury lingers, does it raise Jaylen Reeves Maybins value any?

What about the Patriots LBs, specifically Donta Hightower and David Harris? Is there any value there?

We all love JRM, and absolutely he would get an uptick if Whitehead misses time, but I can bet you our old friend Mister Worrilow will also be involved. He always is, haha.

As to NE, I hated the landing spot for Harris so much. He will be a situational LB, playing 90% of the snaps one week and then he will play 30% the next. Hightower is an LB3 who will get hurt, per usual.

Any updates or thoughts on the deep lions LB group? Handful of intriguing names there, most seem worth rostering.

I view the Lions group as thin. Jarrad Davis is obviously gonna be on a roster in every league with his starting role locked down. There's been a lot of Jalen Reeves-Maybin love going around, too. Tahir Whitehead survived a knee scare and looks to resume his spot in the lineup at WLB. He amassed a lot of tackles last year manning the MIKE.

I don't look any deeper than these three names here, and I'll be surprised if J R-B starts the season in any role.

Worrilow and Williams are names to monitor. Those high picks are nice, but they haven't proven anything yet and Whitehead got injured over the weekend if I'm not mistaken.

They're interesting names to monitor in format where teams are rostering 7/8+ LBs. Every year 4 or 5 teams are digging wayyy down their LB depth chart by week 10.

Haven't watched any games today, but judging off of the heavy involvement from Anthony Walker and Sean Spence in the Colts' preseason finale, I suppose it's safe to say neither of them figure on competing for a starting gig anytime soon?

So it's down to Ed Jackson, Antonio Morrison, and Jon Bostic?

I've already dropped Spence and still have cuts to make.

Edwin still on the roster bubble. Te'o and Gerald Hodges are teetering. I need some news on them soon. My leagues always enforce cut down on Sept 1st ahead of NFL cuts. Makes for a very active group of owners. I love it.

Sorry if this is obvious, but I have not been able to keep up with IDP this offseason. What is going on with Edwin Jackson. I have not seen his name mentioned once on any news or twitter feeds

Edwin is in the mix for a starting role. He's too small for the MIKE role, so Walker and Morrison are no threat to him.
