IDP Contracts Matter?

Just a quick thought here that I'm curious about and looking for opinions of the board.

Do you value a player in the final year or a 1 year deal MORE or LESS because of their contract situation?

A few examples I'd like to provide are below:

Zach Brown-- My Skins have him on a 1 year deal which basically means he's trying to prove last year wasn't a fluke. Playing on his 2nd straight 1 year deal makes me believe there's something here that keeps teams from shying away from long term.

Paul Worrilow-- 1 year deal in DET with a lot of opportunity to rack up tackles. We know he flashed in Atl but was the ultimate 8 yard downfield tackler. PFF always graded him very poor as well.

That said, do you typically try to acquire guys you think are going to explode in a 1 year deal for hopes to cash in on them later or do you typically try to stay safe?

I play IDP as if it were redraft pretty much, other than DLs

So I don't care too much if a player is on a 1-year or 3 year deal

I appreciate the feedback, guys. I think I tend to value my IDP way too much. Starting to finally see it.... the first step is admitting the problem.
