I was looking for something similar to what you asked, and I found this rather helpful. I'm sure there will be more IDP mocks in the future.

I actually am part of that, but I thought Garrett at 2.1 was early. Its just 6 picks later but I was thinking 2.7 for him. Early 3rds for the safeties.

I'd have to believe 2.7 would be good for Garrett. Are you sure you want to go 3rd round for Adams or Hooker? Adams maybe because he projects more as a SS. But Hooker is best playing FS away from the LOS. I think he'll be a much better safety in real life than in fantasy.

I'd try to nab Reuben Foster before Adams. LB's tend to carry their value longer. With how deep the offense is this year, I wouldn't target DB's until late 3rd or 4th. Just my 2 cents though.

I'd expect Myles Garrett to be gone by 2.07 in most leagues.

That's very possible. 2.01 should all but guarantee Garrett. If that's the case, let someone else overpay for Adams. Other guys like Josh Jones, Marcus Maye, Justin Evans, Marcus Williams could be excellent rookie safety prospects and would be available later on. Heck, even deeper sleepers like Obi Melifonwu & Montae Nicholson could be producers later in the season. Adams leads the bunch, but I wouldn't overpay for him or any other safety. Supply of safeties are ample. No need to reach too soon.

I would start looking at Reuben Foster around the 2.4 mark and any other IDPs you are interested in at the 2.12 mark. This rookie draft will be loaded with RB's, WR's, and TE's. Unless you are extremely high on someone I wouldn't take a defensive player before 2.4. I would definitely wait until the 3rd for Myles Garrett.

Exactly. Look at the first couple years for some other "premier" edge rushing prospects. Clowney, Fowler Jr, Mingo, even Dion Jordan (who wasn't an impact player even before his suspension). Extremely rare to ever see what happened last year with Bosa, or even Ngakoe

In all of my leagues, Bosa was taken late 1st/early 2nd. That said, I think Garrett will be gone by 2.7, so if you want him you may need to slightly reach. I'd also definitely take the top LB in the mid second, that seems like a great spot.

I totally get valuing offensive talent over defensive. The thing is, this is the cheapest you're going to be able to get a consensus 1.01 for, even if an early-mid 2. In my leagues DE is an important position, and to have a guy who projects athletically in the 90th+ percentile, has his head screwed on right and is going to play in a smash mouth division for at least the next 5-6 years, is hard to pass up imo. I may expend a pick in the mid-late teens to grab him.

Bosa was taking with an early 4th in this league last year, buckner went early 3rd and 1st DL, which makes me believe at 2.7 Garrett will be there.

Garrett is Robert Quinn-esque. If you had Quinn in his first couple years, you'd say he was worth an early first. I'm really beginning to wonder about using a mid-late 1st on Garrett. He will return that kind of value, imo.
