Tahir Whitehead or 3.05?

Postby dynastyfootball11 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 5:53 am

For team 1 in sig I received this offer to move my 3.05 and acquire Whitehead.....

Will Whitehead remain productive with Levy back and them bringing in Worrilow?

"Levy back" is the biggest question mark here. Save for the handful of snaps he played in week one, he'll have been off the field for close to 3! years if he suits up for opening day. I'm not sure how effective Whitehead was as a LB in terms of LB grades, but he put up quality numbers in fantasy. Worrilow only plays 2 downs, so see him as being a depth play than a threat to Whitehead's production. If I'm contending, Whitehead offers me a bit more of a security blanket than the 3.05, but you can likely land a decent IDP prospect with that pick so depends on what your needs are right now.

In terms of grading out overall, Whitehead was one of the worst LBs in the league last season. He's bad in pass coverage. Worrilow isn't great either, but I wouldn't be surprised if he stole snaps from Whitehead. I'd be selling all my shares for anyone willing to pay LB2 prices for Whitehead.

Does the release of Levy change the picture at all?

Well now that Levy has been cut, Whitehead & Worrilow will probably both start. I still wouldn't pay a 3rd for him tho.

Wow, didn't see the Levy cut coming. Lots of dead cap there.
Just a guy who loves fantasy football - specifically defense.

Whitehead is situation and not talent. I don't like the idea of paying for that unless your just looking for 2017 hopeful production. I would rather keep the pick and look elsewhere to fill what hole you may be looking to address.

The 3.05, even in an IDP balanced league, should be enough to get you a top 2 rookie LB
