No way NE keeps Hightower at this point, right?

Oh, idk. I tend to think that Hightower is exactly what NE wants in all of their players. Tough, hard-working, no nonsense types. If you ask me, I'd expect NE is willing to pay what his market price is.

I know that's what the echo chambers are saying... But why would Bill want to pay $10-13M per year for an oft injured 2-down backer who can't cover the slot or shifty RBs?

I can't see it happening I think they should but that's how NE is they do the complete opposite of what we expect and somehow come away better

The funny thing is, I feel the exact opposite. I don't see how Hightower is that valuable. He's constantly hurt and is only a 2-down thumper who has some pass rush ability. He can't cover backs at all.

I agree Lukky. Hightower doesn't seem to be worth that to me. Solid player, but not worth that.

I'm in the camp that Hightower is responsible for the Seahawks not running Marshawn on the goal-line. Run defense precedes pass defense. If there is any question about the value, just ask Oakland how much they'd love a Hightower, McKinney, or David Harris. I don't think NE has a succession plan for Hightower and cleared cap room for him by trading off Collins. I expect Hightower to be in their plans.

Just to be clear, I don't own Hightower anywhere. His fantasy value is pretty limited for the reasons listed above.

If he's free and you need a camp body, then yes. The Lions LBs will be a fluid group all the way until the preseason, imo. I'm still dumbfounded they cut Levy and ate all the dead money. They could designate him as a Post-June 1st Cut and then resign him for a team-friendly deal, I suppose. I'm not ruling out Levy being a Lion in 2017.

Did I miss anyone? I'm curious to see what happens with D'Qwell but I'm assuming he will go somewhere and be their 4th LB at best, or retire.
