Free agent Pacman Jones didn't show up for his scheduled workout on Friday.
There was "no immediate word" on why Jones was absent, but he's had the workout planned for nearly a month. Numerous teams were scheduled to attend, and certainly won't be pleased if Jones didn't have a legitimate excuse. If the teams were not informed ahead of time, the no-show could end Pacman's career. Free agent Pacman Jones did work out for NFL teams on Friday, after all.
Apparently, New Orleans Times-Picayune reporter James Varney was in the wrong spot when he reported that Pacman was a no-show. "He's running the 40 right now and just did an interview with the camera crew we have there," according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora. Only five teams showed up to Pacman's workout. Rotoworld

According to his agent, Pacman Jones ran a 4.4 in the forty-yard dash at his personal Pro Day Friday.
NFL Network also reports that Jones met privately with the 49ers prior to the workout, and Lions officials visited with him Friday morning. In addition to Detroit and San Francisco, the Jaguars and Saints sent representatives. Rotoworld
Impressive if it's true.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz left open the possibility of signing free agent CB Pacman Jones.
Schwartz said the Lions are still in the "information-gathering stage." Schwartz worked with Pacman for two years in Tennessee, but was also there when the cover corner missed an entire season due to his off-field problems. The Lions' secondary ranked dead last in the league last season. Rotoworld
