Not only is Breeze very knowledgeable he comes on these forums sometimes.

If we know he knows.
Haha I'm with you. I'm not hoping for a cheat code designation, I'm simply hoping Ishmael could become a starting WLB for Atlanta this year

LOL !

I hear all of those things, but it sounds like just speculation at this point. I know I read before Breeze outlining the decision to move players positionally and it was backed up by film study of them being lined up in a certain spot at a % of times. From where I am it if this is a credible source, than I take it as the team looking at this as a possibility, and if it comes to fruition then great, if not than no big deal. But I would be willing to bet we would need to see Ishmael seeing significant snaps at LB this preseason for this move to happen, and we all know MFL doesn't do positional updates after the season starts. So for the price of a very small investment I'm buying in the ground floor here to see if this happens. Because if it does its a huge advantage, and just like trading Mack before he gets that LB tag you gotta take these IDP gems when they come along.

I would also comment that the Sorensen situation last year is different, as last right now than this one. KC had LB depth but was bleeding because of injuries so Sorensen filled in at that spot based on team need and the way they were built. Atlanta just moved on from Worrilow, they have Campbell and Deion now with a pass rush specialist in Beasley. This is Dan Quinn, if this is legitimate I see the fit having Ishmael lining up next to those 2, especially when this draft is as deep as it is at DB.

Either way I'm not co-signing on selling out to get him, but in the offseason when most likely your rosters are expanded and the cost to get him is free or next to nothing, yeah this is an easy pick up just for the upside of what can happen.

Here's my take as a former Ishmael owner:

Beasley is not a 3-down LB, so Ishmael will play some snaps in subpackages until one of the stalwarts get injured. Ishmael's ideal role in the NFL is depth, and I'm still paying his dead cap (minimum wage) as a reminder.

I don't invest much in the DB sector, but when I do... I buy the ones that play more than subpackages.
