Totally agree with this. Looked like he didn't really understand his role in the D. And playing the option was especially bad. I say a couple missed tackles too - or at least only half-made ones. Why would you want a LB/SS hybrid who can't be relied upon in the running game?

I am very intrigued to see Jack and Jaylon in the NFL. Ragland seems like a Rolando McClain guy in my initial viewing. That is meant as a compliment, but that he's mostly a run stuffer who can make some big hits. Not sure he's ever a big play guy, though he could be schemed to make some plays perhaps.

Jack is a unique guy that I see getting more coverage time, but very well could be a David type producer (nice tackles and pass play, but low sacks), while I see Jaylon more Jamie Collins given he seems like he has more length and I can see him being used on more blitzes. I will be trying to get whichever is available at my nearest pick after the other goes come draft time.
So far I'm interested in Ragland, Jack, and Jaylon and agree with Ed above on them. Some interest in Bosa, Nkemdiche, and Buckner but that depends on landing spot for me.

Deion Jones, Keanu Neal, & Jatavis Brown didn't get mentioned once! Yikes.

The most recent post from this thread was pre-combine, let alone pre-nfl draft. I don't do any scouting before the combine. But I did bang the table for Jatavis and Nick Vigil as my top tier (non-injured prospects). Ragland was not in my top tier pre-injury.

Can I get some props if I drafted 2 of the 3?

Can't crash a party you weren't invited to and say nobody ordered punch or the right dip!

Kidding, but ya I'm sure we'll look back on a similar 2017 thread and be able to point out the "how did he get overlooked"? Playing opportunity factored into Jack, Smith and Ragland's production for different reasons, but if they all had the opportunity to play the same way as Jones, and Jatavis was the 175th overall pick - how exactly was anyone who isn't a scout to consider him being relevant predraft, let alone precombine?

Haha sorry I didn't mean my comment to come out that way.

It was more of a, "Man I can't believe Jones & Neal weren't as highly thought of pre-draft!"

I do remember how much D. Jones' stock rose following his 40 time.

I thought Neal was always pretty highly regarded even pre draft & combine? I could certainly be wrong.

Landing spot was huge for both. Really fit their styles. That said, I'm still not a big Jones believer, at least not to the hype level people have him at currently.

I agree with that. I graded him as a solid B prospect last year just below Darron Lee (B+). I had to wonder the reason to announce Kemal Ishmael move to LB last week. They gonna use him more than sub-package?

Nick Vigil is happening. 3-down role with Burfict. Excited for him for this opportunity.

You gotta be freaking kidding me. I JUST dropped him today, to take a flyer on Shobert in Cleveland... I thought Minter was the 3-down Mike there???

Minter lost out, but consolation is he'll probably take 3rd-down snaps in place of Burfict while he's watching from home until Week 6.

Haha what an idiot. I just saw that.

Welp! I put a bid in for the guy I just dropped! Hope I only have to spend a dollar to get him back...

Well I won him for a $1 bid, so didn't lose more than a buck!
