Lineup Optimizers... Do they work?

Postby jayruegg » Sat Oct 03, 2015 10:23 am

Anyone use them? How are their success rates?

I've heard about rotowire and dailyfantasycafe...

Just wondering if there is real merit to these sites, and if so, which nets the better results

Thanks

It's a place some start with. But end all be all or set and forget no projection models don't work that well. They can help you fill a hole if your really stuck. You like your lineup but can't find a wr3 or te or whatnot.

Since I don't pay attn to mlb at all really, I use rotowire optimal line up and sometimes change the odd guy to someone in the game with the highest over/under and in the top half of lineup.
I've never lost a double up this way and I do it low stakes everyday
Don't know what will happen post season now though nor have I ever done it for football but it was nice to buildup gpp bankroll for nfl with what I consider minimal risk

That is a great tip. I was thinking strictly football but that is something to look into.

One thing to note, I also use FantasyPros site where it tells you the batting lineups a cpl hours before gamete and check those picks an hour or so before the fanduel game begins to make sure those players are still in the lineup . I believe this will be even more important at this time of the year

I've had some experience with lineup optimizers before and I am not fond of the idea at all. For some reason that's hurt me the most at the most crucial moments. Ideally I'd do all the picking myself because I think that is where the all the fun comes from. However there are times that I either feel that I don't have enough knowledge to make and educated decision, or I simply don't have enough time on my hands. In these cases I often use sites like fantasysportsdaily.com for some close calls or some strategy advice. I prefer this site because it's simplistic and easy to navigate.
